Description

This was a one time strip i drew a long time before I took the plunge to draw the MHA/Spidey comics. It’s an incredibly loose adaption of a scene from one of several fanfics that eventually inspired Peter Parker: Foreign Exchange Student. That’s why Uraraka isn’t in costume. But it does illustrate a lot about how others see him.

In our continuity, Peter still has an artificial quirk that he keeps a guarded secret. This is a story that Peter will tell only select people. In Japan those without quirks face higher amounts of stigmas like Midoirya. And his artificial quirk would make him seem like a freak of nature. But for Peter the real reason he doesn’t tell anyone about his powers is because it’s tied to a very personal tragedy. It also leads to the classmates slowly realizing that there’s a lot of things Peter doesn’t tell others.

Despite how friendly and upbeat he is, friends like Uraraka can see behind the facade once in a while.
