Description
Sitting out on the front porch.Glass in hand. Moon is out.
Nights like these seem much colder
now that it’s you I’m without.
Used to lose myself dancing
among the stars in your eyes.
Got two left feet and no rhythm now.
So here I am post-demise,
sipping glasses of whiskey,
hanging out until dawn.
Not sure what else I should do here
now that you’ve come and gone,
besides pick up a pencil,
scribble words on a page,
and turn them into poems
soaked in silence and rage.
