I found an old sketch book from 1991. I was the Army at the time and we had just returned from Desert Storm, the first Gulf War. There was nothing to do as the barracks rooms were still bare, so I bought a sketch book and a case of Mountain Dew from the PX and went back to the barracks and sketched all weekend. No ink, so I used the old black U.S. Government black ink Skilcraft ball point pens you got from supply " ) This was a piece called Appomattox. Strathmore 80 pound paper, multi use, 14" by 19" and a black ball point.
