After finding a hidden library in Canterlot, Twilight Sparkle is sucked into a strange and desolate new world. It is the world of Outland, a different plane of reality where lost things end up. There, she finds her greatest enemy, Nightmare Moon who, after being torn from Luna's body, found herself in this new realm. NMM has quickly taken over the realm and declared herself Queen.
Now, Twilight must explore this strange new world to try and find her way home. Along the way, she finds a new mentor in NMM who teaches her all about Outland and its inhabitants. Because a bit of Luna still lives inside her, she must keep Twilight safe from the dangers of Outland. But does the Mare in the Moon truly begin to care for Twilight? Or is she only keeping her safe to use for her own evil ends?
