Ever since that fateful night I've sworn to wage war on all criminals. Let those that worship evil's might beware my power- no, waitaminute- Titans together! No, that's next issue. Ah, Shazam! Crap! Spoon! By the power of Greyskull, Avengers assemble! Aw nuts!
Yo, Joe! Anyway, there I was, stalking the rooftops of Gotham searching for wrongdoers and evildoers and every other kind of doer. The denizens of the underworld fear my terrible presence. They whisper my name in the shadows, as if I were some sort of urban myth, and rumors of my exploits had already reached legendary proportions. I was a creature of the night, a horrific harbinger of justice. Because justice is what I bring to this city. Justice is the fuel in my jet engine. Justice is a blind lady and I'm her walking cane. Justice is a pretty good miniseries with painted art by Alex Ross.
And finally I spotted him, slinking in the shadows of an ATM machine, his high tech computerized doohickey connected to the money machine's console. I'd been after the ATMinator for some time, and now all my hard work and dedication to the art of detection was gonna pay off big time.
I fired my grapple to an adjacent building and pulled my line tight. Leaping from the roof of the building I swung low on a direct line to the perpetrator, ready to crush his skull under my bootheels-
-And then Batman wheeled around and kicked me in the balls. Hard.
