Description
This is a 20th anniversary piece I made for Adult Swim, which is the late night programming block that airs on Cartoon Network seven days a week with Toonami airing part of Adult Swim since 2012 from it's in house production studio Williams Street. Since it's launch, Adult Swim has been marketed as a separate network for rating purposes and was launched on September 2, 2001 as an alternative for the late hours as many of Cartoon Network's primary target audience would be asleep. Since its launch, Adult Swim has aired a variety of programming consisting of animation and live action as it airs original series, syndicated series (including Family Guy, Futurama, King of the Hill, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, etc), anime (including Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, InuYasha, FLCL, Soul Eater and many others), sketch comedy, mockumentaries and short films and usually aired with little or no editing in the content, they also continued other series such as Samurai Jack from Cartoon Network for it's fifth and final season, Tuca and Bertie from Netflix since its second season, Final Space from TBS since its second season and Home Movies from UPN for it's remaining first season episodes as well as the entire second, third and fourth seasons. Fun fact: the sixth episode from the first season from Home Movies was the very first program to ever air on Adult Swim when it launched.
