Description I dip the quill in the ink.
The candle light will burn
To light my night
Of fire and fury,
As I write on the parchment
Thinking of you,
And what you've done to me.
I write, "No more from you
You can never stay
You've done enough damage
By now, wouldn't you say?"
Blood curls in my veins.
I coolly hum a lullaby,
One sung to me long ago
Then I think of you...
And it turns into
A gruesome story,
One of anger and misery.
Looking down at my writing,
The ink of the quill
On the parchment piece
Starts to phase right through
To the oaken desk beneath.
And there, my words still lay
They rest in harmony and peace.
Where my fire once burned
In hatred for you.
The black words, slightly faded
Still read the same.
But they sound so different now
So graceful, beautiful, serene
It couldn't have been me writing them
Not then anyways
And not for you, or anyone;
So a ghost lays in my place.
