Wake up in the darksaturated yellow lights
blackness in my eyes
the subtle fade in of sunlight
interrupted, the prison blocks it out
with the fluorescents hanging
step outside
in the sky, clouds over the sun
the day has just begun
and the moon comes out
and the artificial yellow, too.
