Description A final goodbye to one last breath
It all seems to simple now
You held the key to my life
And it fell away that in the box of fate
So silver poisons and shiny things
Will never come to harm you
And golden rings and folding smiles
Will never grace your face
Mirrors seen by you
Can only fall apart
For the wind whistles and the air just sighs
To see to your dreams come true?
Can I see their face one last time or
Is all that just too much for you?
Can you handle this without the pressure
As you signed the dated document?
Can you feel the tension building up
As your tears feel cold on your cheeks?
The fireplace will not be hot this time
The snow will feel like fire
An off-white handle on the door of life
Can feel so heavy on your hands
To make you carry the weight of the world
Only to find the shape has turned.
Singe, burn, tear away
At the colors of your twisted mind
But the memory won't fade away
As it imprints on your mind
The where, the who,
The what, the why,
And also of course the time.
Slipping the veil as you walked
Was such a beautiful lie
The aisle and the pews ahead
All just mean goodbye.
