Billy Hatcher: Rise of Corvo [March of the Dark Army]______________________________________________
---Sub-Chapter 1: Crescent Crows march again!
Rolly Wanted to get a better view of the scenery so she walked up towards the edge of the cliff only to be shocked at what was approaching.
Rolly: Uh guy's? You really, REALLY, have to see this!
Chick, Billy, and Bantam looked at each other and got up off the ground to see what was happening.
Billy: woah.
Chick: O.o;
Bantam: Wha?
Out in the distance, the Crescent Crow Army marched forth, Lowest rank in the front with the highest towards the back along with Corvo hovering above them.
Chick: How are we we supposed to take on that!?
Rolly: I don't think we can. Not on our own.
Billy: We don't have a choice.
Bantam: We've taken on a ton of them before, how is this any different?
Rolly: they seem organized. . .
Billy: Yeah and they're much closer to each other so if we attack, they will attack back in large clusters.
Bantam: . . . So now what?
Rolly: We don't have much of a choice. . . Chick, Come with me. Billy, Bantam, you two need to find a way of slowing them down, Chick and I will head into Forest village and move everyone to a safe place. After we are done, we'll come back to help you.
Rolly and Chick took off leaving Bantam and Billy to deal with the incoming problem.
Billy: I love it how Rolly takes off with Chick and doesn't give us a say in this. >.>;
Bantam: Well, we're probably the best ones for the job.
Billy: I have an idea. Is the Rabbish and Clippen back at our place?
Bantam: I don't think so. I think they went their own ways in our down time.
Billy: Do you think we can hatch our eggs and get new ones before the crows get here.
Bantam: That's probably not a good idea. . . actually.
Billy: Okay so I think we should strike the front rows from the sides, and get as far as we can to the middle rows. When we need a break, I'll use the whistle and call in the Cipher to strike them with fire until Rolly and Chick show up, Then We'll go from there!
Bantam: Why don't we just use the Cipher now?
Billy: The front rows should be the easiest to take down. Just like us, the Cipher will eventually get tired so I think it would be best to take out the front rows on our own, THEN call in the Cipher when we need to rest. When the Cipher gets tired, we should be ready to go again! Hopefully Rolly and Chick will get back by then too.
Bantam: Okay. . . So which side am I taking?
Billy: Which side do you want?
Bantam:. . . um. . . The right?
Billy: So I'll take the left. Let's go!
Bantam said alright and they were on their way.
---Sub-Chapter 2: Preemptive Strike
Billy and Bantam were behind bushes on the opposite sides of each other. Both absolutely silent Waiting for their chance. The army drew so close that Bantam and Billy could feel the ground beneath them shake with every step the crows took.
Billy: NOW!!!
Billy and Bantam both charged with eggs rolling at the front row of bouncing crows. Some were instantly thrown at some of the other crows while others managed to jump over the kids. As for the rest of the bouncing crows, they were instantly dispatched and broken up into just crows which flew away in fear. Billy told Bantam to finish off the rest of the front row and that he would move onto the second row, by that time however Corvo was giving the front of the crow army new orders.
Corvo: YOU! SEIZE THEM NOW!
The front rows had their task and were now all focused on their defiers. . .
Billy: Things are about to pick up Bantam!
Bantam: I know! *punches incoming bouncing crow* So watch it!
Some of the bouncing crows began to jump around the two kids as some penguin-like crows were spinning circles around Billy and Bantam.
Billy: Bantam. *looks around*
Bantam: yeah?
Billy: I don't think this can get much worse!
Bantam: I don't mean to burst your bubble but the rest of the crows are just marching right by us!
First, the bouncing crows sprang towards the kids. Bantam took a hit or two while Billy was able to take cover by his egg. Then the bouncing crows bounced away while four of the sixteen, spinning penguin crows moved towards the kids, two in the front and two in the back. Billy jumped up onto his egg and with one foot as fast as he could, he jumped off of the egg, making it fire behind him at one of the incoming crows. The egg hit the first spinning crow slowing it down and making the egg ricochet into the spinning crow to the right of Bantam. That crow spun out of control and crashed into one of the crows incoming from the front side. Three of the four spinning crows were down but the fourth one rammed into Billy on his way back down. Billy was flat on his back when two more spinning crows came his way along with the one that struck him.
Bantam: HOLD ON!
Bantam dunked his egg onto the three crows making them burst into a bunch of regular crows that flew away. Bantam quickly grabbed Billy by his hand and pulled him back up to his feet. Three more spinning penguin crows approached the kids, but two of them were off balance and missed the kids completely, running into the last three that were circling around them, leaving the last spinning crow to face Bantam's wrath. SLAM! Bantam's egg right into the crows face. *pshew* regular crows flew away into the sky.
Billy: *in a humorous voice* Wow, what a great stroke of luck!
Bantam: Billy! Hurry up!
The rest of the crow army had already passed by Billy and Bantam while they were fighting off some of the lower rank crows. Billy collected his egg which was cracked now and met up with Bantam who was heading to the front of the Crow army.
---Sub-Chapter 3: Next!
Billy and Bantam went along the outside of the path of the crows making sure to stay away from the crows in the back rows. They made it to the front of the army again and struck from the sides (again). When some more of the spinning penguin crows went down, it caught the attention of some more crows in the front. Now there were spinning penguin crows and little bug-like crows that walked around on four feet moving all over the place.
Bantam: Same as before!
Some more spinning crows had moved in in an attempt to strike the kids while Billy and Bantam got back to back, ready for another wave.
Change of views - Billy,Bantam ---> Chick,Rolly
Rolly: Chick! There's more here!
Rolly approached some baby chicks along with two chickens in the windmill section of Forest Village.
Rolly: Hey! All of you! You need to come with us! No time to explain so hurry!
The chickens listened and followed them,
Chick: Do you know if there's anyone else around here?
None of the chicks or Chickens could think of anyone left behind so they said no.
Chick: Hey Rolly, I'm going to take these chickens to the safe zone. See if you can find anyone else!
Chick took off leaving Rolly searching. She looked inside the mini homes, hollow trees, behind the large rocks and anywhere else any chicks or chickens could be but it seemed like they had already evacuated everyone from the windmill section. Rolly when moved onto the wooded area which was already clear of everyone.
Change of views – Rolly,Chick ---> Billy,Bantam
Billy and Bantam were slowly wearing down. They had already defeated all the little ant-like crows along with most of the spinning penguin crows. They looked at the remaining crows marching onward towards Forest Village to find that they had made a surprisingly large dent in the army.
Bantam: wow. . . small army.
Billy: I think some of them retreated because the Crow army wasn't THAT small. :/
Bantam: Now that you mention it. . . *looks at Crescent Crow Army* OH! We need to go Billy!
The two little warriors ran with their eggs to the front of the crows ready to fight off the next wave just like before but Corvo knew what they were going to do.
Corvo: *still hovering in the air* I DON'T CARE HOW YOU DO IT JUST DESTROY THEM!
More crows attacked Billy and Bantam, but just like before, they fell one by one. Corvo was sick of it and he decided that he was better off finishing the job himself. Corvo dashed at Billy and Bantam and attempted to take a slice at them with his spear. He missed both of the kids but he destroyed their eggs in one slash leaving them without a weapon.
Corvo: What now?
Billy and Bantam began to run away in an attempt to escape and find new eggs but Corvo wouldn't let them. He pointed his spear and shot the ground beneath their feet with a portal that took them to an unknown world.
Change of views: Billy,Bantam ---> Chick, Rolly
Chick and Rolly had quickly scanned around Forest Village a second time to make sure no one was left behind. Besides two chickens who were walking around wondering where everyone went, everyone was cleared out. Rolly took the two Chickens to the safe spot, a large flatland over the large waterfall, and they urged everyone to stay where they were until the threat was nullified. Rolly and Chick had finished their mission and made their way to the war zone. When they arrived however; they had no idea where Billy or Bantam was and were left to take on whatever crows they could on their own.
---Sub-Chapter 4: Crow's World
Change of views: Chick,Rolly ---> Billy,Bantam
Billy and Bantam found themselves in some strange world surrounded by a ferocious spherical tornado. The World around them was small and as far as they could tell, was made up of glass or crystal that was floating midair in the center of the tornado. Only wind was audible in this place until they heard a voice speak.
???: In this world. . . You will learn two things. One, you will learn to fear the darkness. Two, you will learn how TO SUFFER!
Billy turned around and saw Corvo speeding in for an attack, He pushed Bantam out of the way and was struck by Corvo's claws in the process. "BILLY!", Bantam shouted and he looked at Corvo in extreme anger.
Corvo: . . . what.
Bantam ran as fast as he could at Corvo, fist clenched, teeth grinding, and he went in for the hook but Corvo caught his fist with his hand/wing, said "fool." and pushed Bantam by the hand backwards making him lose his balance.
Corvo: Without your precious eggs to fight with, you're nothing! YOU ARE BOTH AT MY MERCY, but wait. . . what am I talking about? I'm never in a merciful mood.
Corvo's hand began to glow bright purple as he slowly walked towards Bantam.
Corvo: I am actually a little disappointed that things have to end this way, You both always put up an interesting fight and I have to say, Things just wont be the same without you getting in my way!
Billy pulled a sneak attack and landed a powerful kick at Corvo's back.
Billy: You were saying?
Corvo: That's the only hit you're going to get Hatcher!
Corvo threw a speeding punch which missed Billy. Corvo then made 12 clones of himself. The clones all walked slowly at Billy each laughing softly while the real Corvo walked towards Bantam.
Billy: Bantam! GET UP! BANTAM!
The clones all pulled out spears and began to fly towards Billy while slashing around constantly. Billy was heavily outnumbered so he decided to use whatever skill he had to dodge the corvos. For the first couple of attacks things were going great until one Corvo got lucky and slashed Billy's left arm. Billy kept on dodging but the Corvos kept attacking, as time progressed Billy was beginning to lose his focus and the Corvos were beginning to land more blows.
The real Corvo stood around by Bantam in amusement at how Billy was doing until he remembered what he was going to do, By then however, it was too late because Bantam got up while spinning making Corvo trip up and fall onto the floor. When Corvo fell, his focus was broken just enough to remove some of the clones leaving 9 attacking Billy instead of 12.
Bantam: Hold on Billy!
Billy: *saying out of breath* Don't worry about me! Corvo's your target!
Bantam obeyed Billy's statement and focused only on Corvo whom was just standing there.
Corvo: You know, I was only taking it easy on you because I was interested in seeing how you would do but now you're just annoying me!
Corvo summoned Era-Gecko only it was the same thing as Anti-Billy, Just a shadow.
Bantam: THAT'S A CHEAP SHOT!
Era-Gecko let out a loud sound that was surprisingly devastating to anyone who just happened to be in front of him. Bantam was fortunate enough to not be in the immediate line of attack. Era-Gecko and Corvo both got side by side. Corvo teleported behind Bantam while Era-Gecko let out another shockwave. Bantam was hit by that shockwave and was sent flying backwards into Corvo who was about to attack, but was struck by Bantam who was flying backwards. Bantam quickly got back up to his feet but Corvo was on the ground in pain because Bantam actually fell on him. Era-Gecko fired another shockwave at Bantam but he missed and instead sent Corvo flying off the edge of the field.
Corvo: AAAAHHHHH!
Corvo fell into the surrounding tornado and everything Corvo created dissolved around Billy and Bantam. Billy was revealed to finally be able to stop dodging a bunch of Corvos while Bantam was cracking up at what had just happened.
Bantam: DUDE! BILLY! DID YOU SEE THAT!? Corvo got himself destroyed! IT WAS FLIPPING AMAZING!!!
Billy: What, how?
Bantam: He made a shadow thing which threw me at Corvo. Then that shadow thing attacked me and missed making Corvo fall off the edge of this floating thing!
Billy: . . . He just doesn't succeed at all does he?
Billy and Bantam stood around resting when Billy thought of something.
Billy: Bantam?
Bantam: *still kind of laughing* yeah!
Billy: How do we get out of here?
Bantam stopped laughing and looked around at where they were.
Bantam: oh. . . darn.
Billy: Falls on knees and then falls flat on floor (did it on his own)
Billy let out a cry of confusion and spoke with a muffled voice.
Billy: *face on the glass floor* "wr stk her,ant wi?"
Bantam: what?
Billy: *lifts head slightly* we're stuck here aren't we?
Bantam looked around and noticed a bright light beginning to expand above them.
Bantam: I wouldn't be too sure of that.
The dark world around them dissolved from top to bottom revealing where they were last at Morningland.
Billy got up off the floor and got back up to his feet. "Well at least that's over" he said as he brushed himself off until he felt a sharp pain all over his body.
Billy: wow, those Corvo's got me good.
Bantam looked at Billy and saw small patches of red on the suit.
Bantam: That looks pretty bad. Are you going to be all right?
Billy: I've had worse. Remember anti-me?
Bantam: . . . you're right.
Billy: Where are the crow's anyway?
Bantam: I think they're gone now? I mean Corvo got sucked into a tornado so. . . I'd think it'd be over right now.
Billy: We should go up and see anyway.
Bantam: yeah.
---Sub-Chapter 5: Not over yet. . .
Billy was feeling particularly lightweight and excited after the last battle while Bantam was somewhat worried for Billy, but at the same time hyped.
They kept going onward towards the direction the crows were marching until they saw the back rows.
Bantam: Seriously!?
Billy: For a second there, I thought it was that easy. . . Time to pull out the big guns.
Billy pulled out the whistle in his helmet and sounded the Cipher call.
