Billy Hatcher: Rise of Corvo [First Draw]______________________________________________
---Sub-chapter 1: Corvo's back
Early in the morning, Oma-Oma burst into the den announcing that Corvo was in the windmill section of Forest Village. The kids woke up, put on their helmets, and approached the eggs that were outside. Billy led the way as they made their way over. Corvo was on a mini island surrounded by water, looking for something when Billy crossed over the water on his egg. Quickly, Corvo turned around, called his spear to his hands, and stared at his enemies.
The kids stood still staring at Corvo, ready for just about anything when Corvo pointed his spear at the ground below and created a small explosion which propelled him up into the sky, leaving the kids temporarily stunned by the large shockwave. Corvo, still in midair, Spun and darted away over the waterfall at least a hundred and fifty feet high.
Bantam: Talk about leaving with a bang.
Billy: Get after him!
Because the waterfall was way too tall to get over, they had to go around. They went through the wooded area, through the clearing, and to the top of the waterfall but by the time they had reached the top. Corvo was minutes away. By wing, that was probably miles away, by teleportation, He literally could have been anywhere.
Rolly: DARN! We lost him.
Billy: that's not all that surprising actually, *points at back* he has wings.
Everyone looked as far as they could see for any signs of Corvo but the trail wasn't even cold, it was flat out frozen.
Rolly: So what should we do?
Bantam: We know Corvo is up to something so we can't wait around anymore. Someone must have seen where he was going. Right?
They began to ask everyone and anyone they came across, until a baby chick pointed them in the right direction. They knew that they couldn't go on foot so they went to go find their Cipher. This proved to be a difficult though because no one had actually seen the Cipher since they came back from Pirates island with Billy K.O.ed. During their search, Bantam pointed out something.
Bantam: Oma-Oma makes this look easy.
Rolly: Thinking about it, how DOES Oma-Oma find the Cipher so fast?
Billy: I don't know but maybe Oma-Oma can tell us. . .?
---Sub-Chapter 2: Cipher whistle
The kids decided that looking around for the Cipher on their own was getting them nowhere so instead, they decided to ask Oma-Oma how he does it.
Sometime later. . .
Billy: Oma? How do you find the Cipher so easily?
Oma-Oma: A while back, I trained it to come to me when it hears this whistle.
Oma-Oma took a few steps forward, pulled out a flat white whistle with a red star on the top of it, and blew into it. There was no audible sound so the kids stared at each other thinking that the whistle was broken. Moment's later the Cipher became visible and landed in front of everyone.
Oma-Oma: That's how. I'm going to guess that you need this more than I do *passes whistle to Billy* so here. Don't blow too hard into the whistle or you're only hurting the Cipher's ears.
Billy put the whistle in a small pocket which was in his helmet, then Rolly, Bantam, Chick, and Billy boarded the Cipher and took off for Blizzard Castle.
---Sub-Chapter 3: Heading over
Blizzard Castle was on the opposite side of Morningland. They flew over Pirates Ocean, Sand Ruin, and landed in the outskirts of Blizzard Castle where the ground was completely iced over, making them slide around with every step they took. The children began to walk through the ice and moderate snow.
Rolly: I just thought about something. . . If these suits don't have sleeves or anything like that then why aren't we cold?
Billy: *looks at self* You know? I never noticed that before.
Chick:. . . Maybe this place is actually warm?
Billy: Doubt it. Bantam?
Bantam: I have no idea but now that you mention it, that is kinda weird. . .
Rolly: Hmm.
The kids continued their little march until they arrived at the main grounds of Blizzard Castle. Thanks to Blizzard Castle's controlled climate, here, the snow was much lighter and the floor wasn't iced over nearly as much as before. Not only that, the gaps and pits that used to be around everywhere we're patched up so there would be no threat of unexpected falls.
Billy: Well that's convenient.
Bantam: Rolly. If you manage to fall into a pit again. I will laugh. . . and then I'll help you.
Billy: Rolly fell into one of the holes before?
Bantam: Yeah, and then I was the one who had to go chase her down.
Billy: How did that turn out?
Bantam: Not very good. . .
Billy:. . . oh.
They kept walking, talking, and looking around until they saw Corvo entering the gate of the castle. The kids ran, charging straight to the gate when the door rose up and became locked in place by some kind of barrier. The kids pounded at the door as fast and as hard as they possibly could until Rolly eventually told them to stop and save their strength. That door wasn't going to budge, not like that.
---Sub-Chapter 4: Corvo on the move
Corvo was inside Blizzard Castle staring at the crystal snowflake spinning above the door. He looked down at his list and looked back up at the flake. He summoned his spear to his hands and pointed the spear at the Crystal Snowflake, creating three masses that shot from the tip of Corvo's spear, straight at the crystal making it explode into hundreds of shards. As soon as the shards began to drop down, Corvo held his arm and hand out and cast a barrier around himself. The shards that hit the barrier were pushed away from Corvo while the other shards just fell straight onto the floor and broke more. When the room was silent, Corvo lowered the barrier and floated forward to a jewel that was among the shattered remains of the snowflake. He picked it up and dropped it into a miniature portal he made in his hand. He pulled his list out, checked off "Aqrys", and pointed his spear at the roof.
Outside, the kids were looking for another way in when all of a sudden the roof caved in and Corvo bolted right out of the top of Blizzard Castle.
Billy: GET OUT OF HERE!
The kids ran away from the castle and got to a safe distance as some of the rooftop fell to the floors below. Everyone stood looking out at Corvo who was maniacally laughing, flying away. The barrier that was previously blocking their way was lowered and the gate fell flat on its face allowing entry. Rolly, Billy, Bantam, and Chick walked through the debris and chunks of wall to take a look at the inside of what remained of Blizzard Castle. piles and scatters of rubble lie on the ground mixed in with the blue, radiant shards of crystal.
---Sub-Chapter 5: Back at the den
The kids got back from Blizzard Castle and decided to call it a day.
Billy: I'm going to bed. *falls face first onto bed*
Everyone followed. when everyone was asleep Oma-Oma came into the den. Chick Heard Oma-Oma and woke up.
Chick: Oma-Oma?
Oma-Oma: oh. hey.
Chick: What's up?
Oma-Oma: I heard what happened.
Chick: We couldn't catch up.
Oma-Oma: You know that he was seen hunting around for something in Sand ruin and Pirates island before he was in Blizzard Castle?
Chick: Doing what?
Oma-Oma: No one knows.
Rolly: We have to catch up with him somehow otherwise it wont matter what he's doing. He'll be able to do it anyway.
Billy: *voice muffled* running wont do it.
They sat there thinking about their current position, problem was that the whole thing seemed so obscure that they weren't even sure what the problem was. Was it really just a matter of pace? Even if they could catch up with him, what would they do? Not enough was known to draw out anything and Corvo's intentions appeared to be well thought out, whatever they were.
Oma-Oma: You'll figure it out. All you need is a good night's rest.
Oma-Oma left the room as the kids got ready for bed.
Chick: Tomorrow. . .
Bantam: What about tomorrow?
Chick: *small jump* what? uh. Nothing. I was just thinking about something, anyway don't worry about it, It's nothing important.
