Description Good hell it's finally finished!

So I made the initial sketch for this after last year's season.

I really felt for Bea, I mean she is a mean mother that ultimately doomed Bojack, but her development in season 4 and upon re watching is very sad. Seeing what she has been through and finding some sort of reasoning for her personality makes her one of my favorite characters in Bojack. She's a tragic character and I really wonder how she would have been if she had married Corbin.

I wanted to give Hollyhock the ice cream in the thought that Bea "could serve ice cream to other people"
She kind of in a way let Hollyhock lead a very happy life by forcing Henrietta to give her up. Henrietta lead a life of success thanks to Bea, although there was that major sacrifice. Bea wouldn't let two lives be thrown away because of something her husband was ultimately at fault for. Kind of ironic that she lives life in repetition of her misery, but was able to prevent it from happening again to another intelligent woman.

Butterscotch seemed like a real asshole to Bea.

Great art of them oo
Bea´s dad is such a hateworthy character. He made me so sick. After seeing her backstory I felt super bad for her too D:

I felt bad for Beatrice for what her dad did to her, though I feel even if she married Corbin she'd still be unhappy because of how her father raised her to be as a woman in her time period and for her dad taking her mother and doll away from her.

And with Henriettta and Hollyhock, you're absolutely right. While it was upsetting seeing Henrietta devastated at losing Hollyhock, Beatrice knew that not only will Henrietta have to give up school to raise a child on low wage, I think Henrietta would be still blinded by love for Butterscotch and try to have him have a relationship with Hollyhock, hence repeating the chance of Butterscotch abusing Hollyhock like he did Bojack and ruin her mental state and childhood like he did their son.

I like how you drew Beatrice looking at Hollyhock, she looks like she's wondering to herself (even though she has dementia), "I wonder if I gave up Bojack to another family when he was born, would he be as happy and stable as Hollyhock?" I think Beatrice feels guilty for what Bojack went through and turned out because of her own cruelty and her husband's abuse, from how they talked to Bojack to how her husband ruined his treehouse due to his Conservative views.

Well done on this piece!

The Bear climbed over the mountain? As in the book about the Soviet Afghan war?
