Here's an idea I recently came up with, an alternate evolution for Remoraid (or Octillery, can't decide). Always seemed odd to me that a fish evolved into a cephalopod. Now the fish evolves into a mammal. Wait...

I think alternative evolution for Remoraid works best, mainly because Octillery is more or less too powerful to evolve. As for its other traits, I think this would work.
