Given that the Pirate Clans were a spaceborne society, the design of the Corsair with its wings and intakes for air-breathing engines didn't really make much sense. This revision turned it into a purely spaceborne craft, incapable of atmospheric flight and with the bonus of having a smaller target profile. The craft was equipped with twin cannons in the nose and internal missile bays, and could also be equipped with external weapons and booster packs.
