If I'm going to be completely honest, I became an official member of the Democratic Socialists of America , or DSA, because I'm nosy and wanted to unlock extra channels in a Discord server.
However, I knew exactly what I was getting into. Kind of. I joined the new member orientation for my local chapter that was held a few hours ago and I'm already planning to attend an event this upcoming Wednesday. I'm not someone who really goes out much, or really leaves my house at all without some sort of incentive, so this will be interesting.

Remember, positive change has never happened through simply voting. Fights needed to be fought.

edit 8/9/22 - Took a month longer than it was supposed to but I finally got my DSA membership card lol. Also that event I went to was entertaining. Got $10 for it because they were so happy that I showed up. It was nice, I really appreciate these people.
