Nestlings are a species of sentimental thought that were created by the Reapers (Mad scientists by merging individual souls together through Rune Magic) The practice of using a Crystal Heart of a deceased person is considered aganist the foundation of magic. But that didn't stop them from testing this to create immortal individuals but it was soon learned that once you use a Crystal Heart on an individual it is impossible to add more souls to that one person as they end up being just body fluids and a few arms on the ground.

Nestlings are generally pitted upon or not trusted people think they are faking at some point but that was soon lost after spending some time with them. Nestlings have the capablity to regrow limbs and heal their body. However the heal rate depends on the number of injuries they had they can regrow eye balls at slow or high rate depending on how often they've been hurt. However they can still die from blood loss depending on how use to pain they are which is exactly what the doctor's tested.

They Doctor's wanted to use Nestling as an army after learning they couldn't be used to extend their life line, their were two ways to create Nestlings ones without crystal hearts would keep the memories from each person. While the ones with a Crystal heart would dominate the others, using two crystal hearts at once resides in a dead corpse so that practice was completely banned.

- Same as merging a male and female together they must be of similar age, and same gender in order for it to work. You cannot merge an elderly person with a child as it ends up with a dimwitted more animal like Nestling who struggles to make less then a few words.

Ness named herself as Ness once she gained this form, she views this form as a way of survial but is also ashamed of it mostly because of how her Mother and others have treated her. Most people's reaction to her is that she's some sort of evil spirit or a War Beast. This has lead to her ego being hurt on one then more occasions it use to bother her a lot more as a child but in all honesty it still dose. She rarely if ever accepts any kind of physical contact with anyone in this form and tends to be more paranoid or delusional in this form.

However if she's startled, angry or up set she involunerably dose take this form on more occasion then not. Nestlings are generally creatures that have suffered well beyond what the laws consider normal. Nestlings them selfs were ended up scraped due to the mental damages they had made them poor soliders, to find a balance between the two made them unable to heal at an accelerated rate so the project was scrapped.

Ness generally attacks first or runs off first before asking questions in this form, this is the form in which she is the most dangerous and unstable she usually uses this form to hunt down others before she kills them. She dose have some pride in being a Nestling but she lacks confidence in this form more so then any others, and she has not interacted with other Nestling as much.
