Beautifully clear, well focused shot! I am so in love with that face... One thing that has been a huge help to me in composition is the rule of thirds. This is where the image is with three lines both horizontally and vertically, and where those lines cross are the best areas to place your subject.
Essentially, the idea is just that if the main focus of the image is a bit off center the image will appear more interesting than if the subject is right in the very middle. I think that could work here well.
Either way I think this is a great effective photo, and so adorable! great eye.
