Hmm, I could make it with other pones, not sure about an app, it's done in post here and I had to specify the dots and interpolate the 3D plane from two fitting frames. Not sure how that would work in realtime

I make apps, but I have no experience with augmented reality apps

It's not really augmented reality here, it's a special effect. My understanding of augmented reality is that it happens in real time and it has to recognize some pattern and correctly overlay digital imagery in the correct orientation etc.
I had to point out the markers and oritentation manually and in post etc
