Not really sure how that would work. This is a special effect in a video and I had to manually define the dots to trace and partially trace them manually and chose he best frames to interpolate the 3D topology, so a program would have to recognize spots it can track and not lose those and also know their location, which is very hard on an organic object and if it doesn't know the locations, it must calculate it through the rotationand location changes of the tracked points which it isn't allow to loos which requiers a very good camera and lighting. Plus it's been ages since I've programmed anything, and my phone is about the same age XD
