AR cards are "known defined" images though. The random dots on a random hand are not so they need to be defined first

It's all done in blender and the dots are for tracking the geometry of the hand and then the scene can be aligned with it.

If I'll have a guess... He made the model and possibly the animation in Blender, and then put it into a software that reads what I believe are AR-related marks on his hand, thus tracking where Pinkie looks and stands... I'd LOVE to have this with my phone or something!

Partially right, it's all made in blender. Thought it's not AR as in it's not in realtime but blender tracks the dots, in this case with the not too great video quality with manual corrections and then you set up frames to calculate the displacement and align the scene to the trecking

It is a an app actually!
Print out a paper and when using the app the ponys will appear on the paper in the phone! Its called "Window to Equestria"
But they dont move.

Oh, right! I had completely forgotten about that app... I was without a proper smartphone for a while, and this popped up on EQD (I believe), but I didn't take the chance that it could run it...
