Lately there is this silenceThis unavoidable blanket of nothingness.
Here I look at you and your mouth yapping.
How I wish you would just shut up!
Maybe a dunk in a tub of water will fill the void that is your throat.
Maybe then my ears will pop and I will hear.
Then I'll wish to hear your words
But all I hear is gurgle, gurgle and an air bubble pop.
