Intended to be introduced in the cancelled Mario And The Zodiac Spirits 4; The Planetary Guardians, are (of course) The Planetary Guardians.

Finally, we have The Sun! The Sun is one of the eleven Planetary Guardians. Created by The Goddess Of The Zodiac, Natalie Charte, they rule the nine (* or eight) planets, The Sun and The Moon, and act as mentors for The Zodiac Spirits. The Sun is the mentor of Leo. He has a kingly, albeit, a kinda tyrannical personality. He loves being the center of everyone’s attention and is quite egotistical. In MATZS4, The Sun is saved in Sunbaked Beach in Chapter 1, he and The Moon are the only ones to have palaces rather than shrines. His palace is orange and gold, and is built above The Sun.

Design-wise, The Sun was made to resemble a king and has a egotistical personality because The Sun is at the centre of The Solar System. His colour palette consists of yellows, golds, and oranges because of The Sun’s colouration. His crown also represents the Sun’s rays.
