Description What is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right.
- Albert Einstein.

Thats right ! I don't mind how many watchers/bitches you have, if you're doing something wrong, I will do what I should so as with anybody else. Popularity is NOT a justification.

Do you know what my allies are ? Rules and laws.

This is also a reply to some idiotic comments I've had on my anti-pedophilia journal/stamp.

I quote :

Some artists draws them ! And they're popular and loved by everyone! (the quote has been modified in order to not target a specific artist, as it's forbidden on DA)

Do you know what "IT" was referring to ? => Child pornography.

Nuff said.

Enjoy !

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO COMMENT ON THIS, BUT I SWEAR, BE CAREFUL WITH WHAT YOU'LL SAY.

"The popular desicion may not always be the right one"

It's true. The most popular, isn't always the most ideal morale.

There is this famous deviant who made nice unique not-the-best-in-the-world art and has almost 500,000 watchers. However, she made something called closed species and charged 10$ to draw a fish-cat

Deep-Strike In reply to Koiko-Destol [2014-08-17 13:39:42 +0000 UTC]

Then, Abusive commissions are getting annoying.Okay seriously,
Note that I have nothing against people (even hobbyists) who are willing to make art only for a few points like :iconpurfectprincessgirl: or :iconreichenbachcall: (well whenever she accepts commissions ...) ...

But, on the other side, there's people who'll literally ASK FOR MONEY in return... And that can range from 25$ to 150$...
LOL.
A few points to be made :
1) On DeviantART, commissions were meant to be paid through POINTS, which is why there's even a "request commission" tool, in which you can trade a "request" for points, and vice versa. Not only is it more secured, but that's also helpful for people to  buy art faster and safer.
2) So, you're basically asking people to BLINDLY GIVE YOU MONEY OUTSIDE DEVIANTART'S TRADING SYSTEM in exchange of an artwork they're not even sure of getting ? And whose quality was not proved yet ? HAHAHAHAHHHAHHAHAHHAHAHAH. I was right there too LOL

I agree! I know of the girl on deviantart(who recently deactivated her account) who did some horiible, HORRIBLE crap because she became popular! Luckily she's gone now, but the basic overall view of her is because she was so POPULAR she thought she was holy-er than thou and did everything to try to prove that!

Indeed. What is right and what is popular aren't necessarily one and the same, as history has proven time and time again. One infamous example is with the rise of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. Both of these notorious nations were dominated by Populism, Ultranationalism, Racism, and Ethnocentrism all rolled into one Fascist package, and both arose from more-or-less representative forms of government. Although both nations have fallen during World War 2, they left behind a legacy of death and destruction that continues to echo to this very day.

Sadly, not all of the nations of the world have learned from these nations' tragic tales, nations such as North Korea, China, the Soviet Union, and the various nations of the Middle East. Even Israel shows signs that it's in danger of the same mistakes as Nazi Germany, whom you may remember as the regime that forced the Jews to band together for the idea of living within their own nation (though not all Jews today support Zionism).

Interesting philosophy. I agree with this, because peer pressure can get annoying. And when peer pressure persuades people to do follow stereotypes that aren't their personality, be hypocritical, or break the law, that's just not cool.
