The wings are all blurry, the focus is really off in some bad ways and the framing is a train wreak. Eye is right place != proper framing. The picture seems perpetually tilted.
Complain complain complain... I have a feeling I'm going to make some enemies here...

however, who ever said that photos had to b f/64 with perfect DOF with a perfectly straight horizon, etc. I think that all that is absolutely stupid. as long as you can get across what you want in a photo and you are okay with it, then it is good.

yep, i understand...
i had some of the more regular shots, and I probably would have wanted a greater DOF at the time that i was taking this shot -- but that was impossible for it was fairly low light, handheld, and the butterfly was constantly moving... but maybe next time!

the wings remind me of leaves, and the eyes are amazing. it's also cool that you can see the fuzz on it's face. nice choice on your model.

Oh weird. The way the spooky eyes are the clearest makes it interesting - almost looks like a soccer ball.
