Before then, humanity had been on the brink of collapse since the last great war. The land of Veridia was barren and hunger and disease were commonplace. Some saw Artholo as the answer to humanity’s woes others saw it as downright evil. Dr. Hiren had unknowingly caused a civil war that would shape the future of all mankind.
