Description For every great journey, the first step must be given.
For every epic battle, the first shot has to be fired.
For every succession in a difficult matter, failure has to come first.
As for every capital ship, the most important to be first designed is it's turrets.

These were the words of Engineer Mechania Valentin, during the construction of the Nathanael Frigate Wanderer. Upon the completion of the Frigate's set of 'Crossbow' LS-3-B Pulse Turrets, the engineers and machines of the valiant Geodosian Empire proceeded to finish the remainder of the vessel.

The LS-3-B (Which stands for Laser Stationary Space and Surface Battery), despite it's age, given it was created near the end of the First Interstellar War, is perhaps the work of art for the Empire's current workhorse: This battery was not only the predecessor to the Ariel Cruiser's 'Ballista' twin Cannon battery, but also to most Geodosian Laser technology, later miniaturized for utilization in the famed Geodosian Laser Rifles. The passing of time, however, has ensured the 'Crossbow' went multiple transformations and modifiying until it reached it's primer for standards in the fight against the Cult of Sigma.

One of the most peculiar things to be said about both the 'Crossbow' and the 'Ballista' is their capability to be quite flexible in combat situations, given that levels of energy can be diverted to maximize firepower, albeit at a cost: The level of energy used is inversely proportional to the time it's used to recharge. Thus, the more energy used, the greater the damage output, but it will take more time before it can be fired again.
