Showing possible reason for DNA to evolve: Due to the continuous earthquakes on their home planet Andesite, more volcanos began to form more often and making the planet even hotter. The Basalts much of known to be able to survive, they need to adopt more to their planet. So, they took their steps into the molten lava, and emerged different. Being bigger and stronger. They took risks, and they have lived through for a long time to come.

I hope you guys like this picture. I wanted to make an Ultimate form for Rocks both to give it more of an edge, and because I looked up where real-life basalt comes from, and that it was from volcanos and there was such a thing called basalt lava, made making this form even more important.
