all over the template, especially on both sides, enormous problems with shading and perspective, such an object is impossible to exist, it really frustrates me :S

its just a template mate lol, the light source is coming from the center and the top. So the sides and shadowing are more or less correct in terms of light coming from the center. I agree the header and footer could do with some work but i think this template looks good and thats what its all about, im not airbrushing a full on space scene. lol... Why dont you try and do something with better shading?

hi mate, im getting bored of these interfaces nowadays this is probably the last one i do until we get our site up and running. So im gonna focus all my energy on that for now. Im gonna get the template done for the site. And still need to find pay monthly hosting. (any suggestions?). Then we can get Vbulletin and PHPbb for free up and running so you can get underway

naw jsut do this ...
header ....... 2000 by 150 or up to 300px
footer ...... 2000 by 100 or up to 150px
bg ..... depending on detail , a 100 by 100 tiled img , or 2000px for detailed one.
title imgs .... 2000 by 20 up to 30px
and that should be all i'll need.

it is really wide , as i am not a css expert , it needs to be wide so it can stretch right , for people with larger screens , or i can make the journal a set pg size , which means it won't resize at all.

o ok well i re edited my original journal design so ur able to stretch the right and left sides of the bottom and right side now im working on the rest is it ok to make some buttons for it?

hmm ok make them , but if you want me to try make rollover effect , you'll need to make two identical button imgs on the same img , basically if my img was to have buttons that were 30px high i would have to make the img i'm to draw be 60px , this way i can have both , hover and pressed in the same img , i hope you know what i mean , i only am saying this as it won't work otherwise.
