Experiments. Fun stuff, especially when they turn out good enough to color and show to people.

I was experimenting with Jessie, James and Meowth... tried to make them look like themselves. Failed miserably, but at least I learned to draw Meowth without cheekbones. (Seriously, I tend to give him a nearly human head. I'm just too used to drawing humans.)

As for the scene, and the outfits they're wearing... first, the outfits. They're these ubercool Rocket Executive outfits the TRio imagined themselves wearing these in a dream they had a while back in some Advance Generation episode with a bunch of Slakoth that got annoyed 'cause some Snorlax was eating their bananas. I loved the outfits so much I thought, 'hey, why don't I put them in my fanfic?' They turn into Rocket Executives in my fanfic, see. No, Giovanni won't give them a promotion... the fic's a little more complicated than that, but I'm not tellin' nothing. So anyway, they eventually make plans to take Team Rocket down from the inside since they finally get BRAINS and realize that it's not for them. So in this scene they're... um. Trying to figure out something about the mechanics of Team Rocket, I bet. Knowing about the mechanics of Team Rocket helps a lot when you try to bring it down.
