Our story continues with Shockwave and the newly venomized Starscream leaving the lab and venom left with a sinister smile on his face over the realisation that he is not alone and his essence or rather his will in this new hybrid symbiote.

Shockwave and Starscream arrive in a large cargo hold of the ship with several low-class Decepticon soldiers looking puzzled at the new look for Starscream. They were wondering if they would be getting a new look...

Shockwave ordered Starscream to attack the other Decepticons and was amazed at the speed and ferocity at which they were dispatched. Shockwave was both in awe and terror as he realised that this power would make Lord Megatron pleased, yet at the same time, he was afraid that this power may be too much for even Lord Megatron to control.

Starscream made short work of the low-class Decepticons, one arm turned to a razor-sharp blade and sliced several of the soldiers in half with little effort. The blasts hitting Starscream did nothing to him, clearly, they were not strong enough to do any real damage but the symbiote shot tendrils out and sent them flying across the room.

Starscream then leapt over and tore the remaining low-class warriors to shreds. Shockwave checked this data and decided to test the defensive abilities of the new symbiote. He ordered Starscream to stand still and not retaliate as he transformed into his tank mode and fired a powerful blast at almost full force at Starscream.

The blast hit one of Starscreams wings and blew a section of it off and to the ground. As Shockwave transformed back he looked in astonishment as Starscreams wing regenerated within moments. Looking at the piece on the floor Shockwave noticed that it was now inactive. He put this down to the force of the blast disabling the nanites within the symbiote causing them to become useless as it was away from the main host body. Something he noted could be improved later on.

Both Starscream and Shockwave left and proceeded on to the next area to continue testing Starscream and to see if there were any changes to his Vehicle mode. At the same time, Shrapnel was wandering around the ship looking for something to munch on. Although the Insecticons are loyal to Lord Megatron to a fault they are ruled by basic instincts including the need to feed on metal and scraps as and when they have the urge. Only Lord Megatron and Soundwave seem to be able to order the Insecticons not to eat until the task at hand has been completed.

Shrapnel enters the testing room and sees the low-class warriors in pieces all over the room and begins on his all you can eat buffet. As he was halfway through eating the scraps of the now destroyed warriors he noticed the piece that came from Starscream. Without a second thought, Shrapnel ate the venomized metal and continued to devour the remaining scraps until nothing was left.

After having his fill Shrapnel went to head back to where the other Insecticons were, feeling pleased with himself. While part way down a corridor without anyone else around he started to hunch over and felt weird in his stomach. I used the term stomach as well I'm not sure what else to call it).

Just then he lifted his head and as he screamed in agony the hybrid symbiote came out of his mouth and started to cover him, changing him from the inside out to be the latest Venomized Decepticon. After the transformation was complete the newly venomized Shrapnel changed back into his original form and set off to continue looking for the other Insecticons with an all too familiar and sinister grin on his face....
