Description Ever since I made my tundra boy, I havent been able to get rid of the image of him playing with a cute lil crawdad or something and then deciding to just take a huge bite out of him...

So it's basically a souped up crayfish...

Graxy - Arthropod

Enviroment:

Deep cave system
Aquatic, only moves on land to move to another body of water.

Diet: Fish, troglobites, algae, anything small enough to eat.

Weight: 55-60lbs for a female, 30-35 lbs for a male.

Sexual Dimorphism:

Males are smaller and have grasping claws for mating, females are larger and have larger tail fins for covering eggs as well as a 5 inch retractable barb beneath her tail.

Reproduction:

After mating, males do not stick around to help, it is up to females to dig a small crater in the deep murk to lay her eggs. Once laid, she remains motionless, tail stiff and covering her eggs to protect them. Her eggs are the size of golf balls. and there are generally 15-20 of them. She uses her barb to stab at any nosy okcovjek or other creature looking for tasty Graxy eggs. The barb contains a potent toxin that instantly numbs the victims whole body. The victim, if alone, typically drowns. Note graxy are not immune to their own toxin.

Uses:

Males are fast, and in some cenotes graxy racing is kinda a thing, the males can seriously get around with those flippers. Rocks are piled into walls to create the barriers of the track, in some cenotes the track may be dug out of a cavern with a softstone or clay flooring. Females aren't used as they're bigger and slower and no one wants to get stabbed... Also:

GRAXY ARE DELICIOUS! Raw or cooked, a tasty treat! High in essential fats! Use the ground chitin to coat your meats and deep fry in what? GRAXY OIL!!! Use a conditioned and hardened graxy shell segment to rock your lil babies to sleep.
