I read them when I was in 7th grade..they are good. It's about this boy, Sam Gribley. He goes off to live in the woods and he tames a falcon to hunt for him and be his friend. I loved those books

The only thing to note is this: while her posture is focused, her expression is spaced out. The mood is confused.
Keep in mind that art has to make sense emotionally. (at least that's what i always tell myself)

Good job with the background! It's loose, but it's done well. I really like your colours too. They're slightly muted, but still quite lively and very smooth. Her right arm seems a little short, but your rendering is still very good. I love her face.
