Backstory:
-Calson had a very supportive life for the most part, living with his single mother. He became a vampire via infection at the age of 19. The vampire virus has a 90% mortality rate, but if the human survives they become infected, infection is only spread through the anti-clotting agent in the saliva that coats the fangs.
-Calson was presumed dead since his body was never found, but did indeed survive, and has been on his own ever since. The guilt of burdening his mother with such news keeps him away from her, since the idea of different species coexisting amongst humans is still a fairly new concept, and his mother did not appeal to those ideals.
-Calson never knew his father, but is very aware of the company he works for, which works to categorize all species on Earth and protect them, but much superstition still circulates about the company, and it is viewed in a rather negative light by supernatural species, therefore he avoids the place and its people at all costs.
