Paper Mario/Mario Story-style sprites...for...Toad? Wait, what...? But I- did him already- twice (though never with multiple poses for the base character)! What's the occasion this time?

Oh, yes- trying out and seeing if I could make a spritesheet with the free image creator known by the acronym GIMP. Suffice to say, I could. In some ways, it was easy, but in others, it was hard. The key is arranging layer and layer groups in specific ways, as well as only linking layers when required to move multiple at once and unlinking them right after finishing. Also, there's no clipping masks layers, so one has to prepare everything before using the (spottier than usual) magic/fuzzy wand to erase outside colors.

In light of the restrictions and this being my first time seriously using the program...there's no female Toadettes or Toad kids this time. It's not good those restrictions are there, but just for this test, I decided to take it easy. I also used the hue shift technique so I only had to make four color Toads.
As compensation, I added 3 rarely seen Toad colors, 2 of which were prioritized since they could be used as restricted females. In addition, I also included reverse caps for all Toads to further diversify things.

One other thing- the colors are a little off (blue and yellow) due to underlying color differences in GIMP. As more sprites are created in the program, I'll figure it out.

JULY 7th 2021 UPDATE- Whites on the cap of regular Blue Toad’s cap slightly dulled to match others.

JULY 7th 2021 UPDATE- Yellow Toad altered to be more vibrant.
