Machines/Robots have always played a major role in the First Order military since it's founding. They are capable of performing feats that their organic counterparts can't do and are vital for clearing out areas for the Main Army. Most of them are mass produced and put together in rapid time.

They are essential in the First Order's goals of Intergalactic conquest, And have roles to repress riots and such. They are taught to show no emotion, and to be vicious and tough just as the regular army is taught. While some are considered cannon fodder by the FO High Command others have proven useful.

These Machines are the best of best and will ensure that their master has complete dominance over the Universe.
