Description
WOO! Finally finished after procrastinating for like... two weeks. I tried to put enough information to get a general idea of them but some info couldn't have a whole lot of detail since... well, the canvas side is already huge, I didn't want to make it more cluttered/bigger. I'll go into more details down here just for fun and a future reference to myself as well plus some extra bits! Also, I forgot to put that they're a hybrid tiefling, not just abyssal... Which I still need to look into, what hybrid they are...*Emotion-based features: This include the tail, ears, and eyes. It's a little hard to pinpoint what can cause exactly what, but I do have a general idea of it. The eyes aren't affected except by either very strong, negative emotions (Aka, they can be angry but still have round pupils), or when they are specifically scared/in pain - sometimes it even goes cat-eyed when focusing on something. The tail, on the other hand, is the most 'cat-like' aspect, lashing when angry or looping around lazily when they're calm - it's very thin, so I usually draw it half-way just a line and thicken it out at specific sections. The ears just kinda flick or move in a specific direction that is listed, so up is when they're intrigued or down when sad (Backwards when angry).
*Clothing: Typically, you can't see much of their body - a few liberties were taken here to show off the scars on their arms, but usually the sleeves would be down to their wrist if not further. Also, given the fact they're painfully thin and lanky, I find it funny to think they have to get like, 5xl shirts that doesn't fit right (hence the exposed shoulder). They never wear shoes due to clawed toes, and because the walk on the balls of their feet.
*Personality: This one had to be cut hella short due to the space and letter size restriction. The main idea is that, while typically calm or stone faced, they are very loyal to friends/allies of any kind, but can become very emotional when people are put into danger. This emotional state has gotten them the title of being 'feral' - they cannot communicate emotion verbally like most people, instead relying on a series of growls, snarls, and clicks from their canines (Which uh... I should have added a note for that...) to show when they're upset. Basically, it's like you just pissed off a cat and it's ready to brawl, but instead of a cat, it's a 6'5 demon who can and will bite you.
*Communication: They can talk, but not well. The reason behind this, I'll leave up to the imagination rather than sharing that input (I'm curious to see what people might theorize with this). Their speech is heavily fragmented, even when they speak in their native tongue. For example, we would say, "Hi, my name is (x)" - they can't, instead shortening it so "(x)" or "Name... (x)". Bigger words take longer for them to say, such as "Sometimes" ('Some...Times' or 'Some, times').
*Some neat bits: Kadan came to be back in 2021, in July - and my lord, have they changed over the months. Their original concept was based on an enderman, m brother hosting a minecraft-based d&d campaign, and this was where their main color scheme came from, i.e. purple/green eyes from the beta/current models of endermen, and was supposed to be VERY skittish. However, when the campaign was a flop, I ended up changing them into a tiefling back in February, specifically the Abyssal due to the image the name gave me (Aka, dark colored), and I altered them to a more knight-like character... And apparently I changed the height, which makes sense given, well, tieflings are human size, not enderman size.
Now, the Abyssal Tiefling race on its own, in d&d, is really interesting. Typically, a tiefling is given 3 spells depending on what level you are - a spell at 1st, 3rd, and 5th level. However, the abyssal subrace has a more chaotic take on this - instead, they have 18 spells put onto a roulette, 6 per level. You'd roll a d6 for each line of spells, giving you only 3 per rest, and is heavily randomized. One roll might give you a damage-dealing spell, but the next could give you a more utility or... well, a useless spell that won't help the situation you might be in. Aka, if you're luck is absolute garbage, do NOT play this race XD
