Absko inherited his role as Emperor at a young age. His mother, Nisar, passed away unexpectedly. His grandfather, Ghadanfar, stepped out of his retirement and into the role of regent. Ghandanfar passed away when Absko was a teen. The passing of both Ghadanfar and Nisar, leaving Absko to control an entire empire caused an uprising by some of the prides as they attempted to take power themselves over the Kongwe Empire. Absko shows his victory over these uprisings in his many scars. These battles are also what drives a distance between the Kongwe and Katikati (Pridelands) Prides, as Absko could not balance alliances with the fledgling pride and control his own empire at the same time.
Part of the outcome of these battles is the Tajiri Pride becoming it's own smaller kingdom, as they were previously a province under the Kongwe Empire.
