Description I loved the KitKat interface. It had great wallpapers, great colors and stuff, it was like, really cool.. Anyway, I tried to replicate the KitKat interface in my PC and here's the result. The icons were downloaded separately and I got the wallpaper from somewhere I don't remember... The taskbar wasn't changed, though I think it'd look a lot more like KitKat if it was pure black.

1. THE ICONS

All the icons are Android Style icons. The icons have been downloaded from various "free icons" websites. The best website to find free icons would be Iconfinder.com. They have a huge collection of icons and most of them are free. The icons size should be lower than that of the Metro icon theme. The icons can be placed in any order that you like. I like this layout the most as I think it adds a little more touch to it.
Once you've acquired all the icons you need, you have to apply it. There are two steps by which, you can do this. The second method is only applicable for icons such as "Recycle Bin" and "Control Panel".

                                 Method 1 :
The first method is rather easy. All you have to do is Right Click on the icon --> In the Shortcut tab --> Select Change Icon. Now browse to where you've saved your icons and double-click on the replacing icon. However, there may be some apps that do not allow you to change their icons. For this, you have to find the root of the app and once you've done that, open it up and click on the icon of the app. Then right click and select send to desktop. Now delete the icon that was already there. Now you'll find that the option to change icon has been unlocked.

                                 Method 2 :
This method can be used for icons such as the Recycle Bin, which does not allow you to change its icon. Open up Control Panel --> Appearance & Personalisation --> Personalisation --> In the far left section, you'll see "Change desktop Icons", click on that and change the ones required.
Now we'll change the spacing of icons. For this, we'll open up Personalisation again and this time, go to Window Color in the bottom corner. You'll find an option called "Advanced Settings". Click on that and you'll see a box pop up. Click on the drop-down box and click on Icon Spacing(Vertical). Now change the Size value to something between 1-5. Click on Apply.

Now we'll hide the desktop icons text. For that, we'll first click on Start and search for Character Map. Once you've opened up Character Map, scroll down until you see blank boxes. Click on these boxes and Click on "Select" and then on "Copy". Now click on an icon and press F2 to rename. Then Ctrl+V to paste what you've copied there. Now the icon's name changes to blank. you can do this for all you're icons. Just make sure that the blank you copy for each icon is different.

2. THE TASKBAR.

To move the Taskbar right, you can just Click on the Taskbar and drag it toward the top. If that doesn't work, then Right Click on the taskbar and click on Properties. You'll find an option called Location on Screen. From the Drop-Down box, click on Top... Or you can just leave it at the bottom if you like it that way. Also, check the "Use Small Icons" box to resize the taskbar.
