Your words were the bullets, trying to take me down, make me feel smaller. But I put their power into becoming better, and bigger. You didn't mean to, but you helped make these wings.Ash is dealing with someone really negative in her life, someone who doesn't believe in her, who doesn't -want- to believe in her. Someone who actually would like to see her fail just so they could say 'told you so'
It hurts when someone like this says things to try and bring you down, but she's using the situation to be a better person. He reaction is equal and opposite, she wants to be a special effect make-up artist for film and TV, and so she channeled her energy into creating this!
Then she cuts that person out her life. Go Ash!
I'm undecided about the style of this... but wanted to try something, so I went for it! But I'm not convinced by it XD
~I have a bit of time off from conventions now, so please expect lots more art from me soon!

I'm in love with this piece so much, you have how much I needed this. When I look at it, it makes me feel I have to be stronger and face reality and be "a bullet proof". I still dealing with depression sense my horrible brake up, I was in a deep hole, like I was so broken... a feeling I never felt for a long time... But it was worse. I know I'll be okay again, but I don't know when or how. But I'm trying, I really am.

I was verbally abused by one of my teachers in my freshman year of high school. It was difficult and they did hurt (what's worse is that the more she abused me, the more I wanted to stay with her, but that's a different story for a different time), but I can say that now, those words have made me bulletproof (totally referencing the Deviation above

the idea is quite good btw, but the way you think is so skewed, it's not positiv at all, in fact you live through negativity, you're looking for it.

That was my first impression as well, but I think we should give this artist more credit than that. Humans and human emotions are extremely complex. I actually think it's very healthy to express anger, sadness, regret, all those so-called "negative" emotions, through art. There are a lot of people who feel alone in depression or grief or anger, and work like this can be very empowering.
I always wish that I could sit and talk face to face with each great artist I come across. I would ask so many questions!
