I'm so glad I kept fighting, and didn't give up.
When you have repeated episodes of illness, each one is tougher in some ways. The backwards feeling, the resignation that whatever you did wasn't good enough to stop another onslaught. Each dip feels like someone hitting you, again and again, and every time it's harder to get up, especially as you know another punch is coming. And when you mental state is compromised by the illness anyway. It's tough.
But I kept getting up.
I kept fighting.
I will keep going.
and I know you can too 💙

This piece is perfect timing
I'm going through a short relapse at the moment, and it's so annoying because nothing triggered it, my body and mind just suddenly decided that it wants to go backwards! I do so well coping but ugh these kinds of times are so hard. Just getting up is so difficult, the lack of energy and emotion... Seeing an art piece like this at such a perfect time makes it feel like it's a sign from the universe saying don't give up! Thank you

Inspiring.
I first found your art at a low time in my life. Many of your pieces spoke to what I was going through at various times. It's a nice reminder for me that no matter what I'm living through right now, I am not alone. Others have gone through, and will go through very similar events. Not the same ones, obviously since each experience is unique, but provoking similar reactions and thoughts.

I like thinking of it in a different way.
Each repeated episode certainly can feel like a backslide... but you can also look at it as something you have already overcome. It couldn't take you down the first time, or the second time, or the third. And every time you enter a new episode, you go into it with more tools than you had the last time, and with the knowledge that you were strong enough to make it through the others. Each episode is unique, and each one is difficult, but once you've fought and defeated enough enemies, you can start feeling confident in your ability to throw a punch. They get a few of their own in. Every episode hurts and leaves bruises and scars. But you've learned to defend yourself, and each time it comes you can take it down faster and come out with less hurt, and you've already learned how to treat the wounds it gives you so you can heal yourself that much quicker, too.
Sometimes even just looking at it in that perspective can make it easier, I've found.

I like this one a lot. Life and I have this fun game where it knocks me off my feet and I get back up and we repeat. But lately it feels like life is kneeling on my chest just pinning me down and punching me in the face repeatedly. Not cool life. Not cool. You are starting to make me a bit miffed. 😑🤣 sigh I’ll get back up. I just gotta rest here a minute 😉 I’m glad you keep figuring too blue!
