No matter how far I go, I'll find my way, because home is not one place, but the people who welcome me with open arms
Sketched on my flight from Sydney to Perth - it's amazing to feel so at home so far away, especially at a time where my country has decided to close it's arms
Just thought I'd update you about the adventures with a sneek peek into to sketchbook
Will finish off the last two chapters of my mental health story soon - I managed to lose my Wacom pen on the flight - but serendipitously Wacom had a booth at the show and the lovely Alex kindly came over and gave me a pen! Amazing! Thanks Wacom!
I've got the last day of Perth Supanova convention tomorrow, so will enjoy that, and then chill out for a few days before flying all the way back to my homeland England!

This piece means so much to me, it makes me tear up. I'm a missionary kid from the USA, but I've lived in Thailand for 16 years. I have always struggled with where I call home, and for awhile, the airport was the place I felt at home.
Now I understand that the place I belong is where the people I love, and love me, are. I still look up at the sky, and wish I had wings so I can visit the many places I've stayed. Now I'm going on another huge trip around the world back to Thailand, wish me luck.
Thank you you for creating such beautiful, meaningful artwork, and thank you for sharing your story, it has been, and will be, a huge encouragement for all of us here on dA.

Opai-Exedra was right, this is pretty good! I love the way the blue shift highlights her batons and give's the whole picture a sort of soft glow. Also her expression here and the soft lines used to create it give the peace a sort of tranquil feel to it. It's rare that I talk about a picture making me want to hug some body, but this is one of those that do. now if you'll excuse me I think my mother just got home from work.
