Sometimes colours don't look as bright as they used to...To me, in my head, everything went grey for a bit. The drawings I was working on I couldn't colour right, it was all dull steels and browns when I wanted light and bold. I just wasn't seeing things right. But I still needed to draw, I had to paint something. So I needed a picture to fit the colours I could still work and that would represent my situaton.
And so this one came... the girl sits here and tries her hardest to stop the colour draining out her flower and world. There's more to it, but as the viewer I'll let you work it out
Drawing these helps me get my feelings out rather than lets me dwell. They're personal to share which in some ways I like and in others is rather scary.
I'm feeling better now thanks, coming out of it. Like the painting, bright horizons ^^

I'm glad to see your pressing through your situation, I'm going through my own right now and I feel like the color is draining from my life. But there's this never ending silver lining to my life that God has given me and when my heart fails me and my flesh cries out I find that the worship and love of God just overcompensates for any pain I get from past mistakes and loves. So hang in there keep pressing through. Love the drawing.

She is so beautifully drawn. Her pink eyes look lost, innocent and full of emotions. Her pose makes her look emotional and the way she blends with the background its like as if she is waiting for someone to come and save her from lonliness. The way she refuses to look at the bright pink flower tells me how she feels about her situation. She feels nothing is good enough and its bores her to see rock and water when there could be more flowers and plants. She seems like a nature person. I admire how the colour of the pink flower dribbles into the water. It gives me a feeling the colour will gone eventually forever.

Amazing...Your drawings make me kind of understand you in some ways. It's unique, it's creative, it's an artist's way of trying to share and make others understand...it's YOU.

Thanks you, yeah I don't really like the stick with one style. My stuff all really falls under 'manga' or 'cartoon' style but I don't just draw the same pair over and over. New ways to draw the same thing always interested me.

I wish we could help in some way other than comments... As for the picture, I think the Ocean might represent Nihilism or emptiness of some-kind, The fading sunset may mean time is fading - perhaps not physically, I cannot fathom what the columns mean, if anything. Overall a beautiful piece I think it will touch the hearts of many...

This looks very awesome. I myself have been sketching like crazy as of late. Work is slow so in between calls, I get some sketch time in. As of this post, I have at least 4 new ones JUST uploaded. Always looking for ways to improve. Let me know what you think if you look through them.
Glad to hear you're coming out of your low point. Life is never easy. Whatever got you started down that road, trust me, I'm sure it wasn't fun, but I like to think that good or bad, life's events and turns always have a lesson for us to learn out of it.
