Working out how to understand and love yourself can be the most tricky of things. Like trying to solve a rubik's cube when you're colour blind.Sophie is colour blind, and is trying to figure out how to solve her cube, for her, her own identity feels like a cube with not enough sides...
Wanted to be quite simple with colours on this, not so happy with her eyes, but I enjoyed using all that blue!

A very expressive piece that communicates so much. I almost wonder- because the 'hole' has faces of different colors- that the cube isn't meant to be solved at all...that no matter what she does, she deserves love. I really like this interpretation, even if it's something only I see this piece as.

My life sometimes feels like that. I don't understand anything about me but I keep on trying to figure out how to solve my cube. But every time I try the cube is covered with black paint so I can't see what I am doing and I drop the cube... I will solve it one of these days.

Okai. I dont want to sound like im coplaining, or that I dont like it (cuz I frigen love it!) I just noticed that the lighting dosent make sence? Judging by the hands, the main light source is the cube. And yet the shoulders look as thow they were light from the back. And the face looks like its light from the bottom.
Again. I dont want to sound over critical about this. Its still bafflingly beautiful.

To me not only the eyes but the whole piece is quite amazing to be honest!
Poor Sophie! But at the same time that the piece makes me sad it shows me that I & you (and probably many many more people!) are feeling to begin with!
