...So I can't be hurt again.She gave her heart to someone and they gave it back to her. She's trying to repair the damage, and wants to hide her soul away so no one else will be able to hurt her again.

While creating this, I was also musing on how it mirrored my artistic situation. I put my heart into my drawings and then offer them on the internet for all to scrutinise, it can be really daunting thing. A lot of the stuff I draw is personal and is never seen by anyone else, so I appreciate the overwhelming support I get when I share with you guys. Sometimes you just want to hide away. This piece isn't born of current guy troubles for me (I have a wonderfuly supportive partner) but from discussions with other people about shared experiences... and bleh, other stuff..
Been enjoying exploring this style more, I know it's another portrait, but I wanted to keep it intimate, like the viewer is close with her and feeling what shes feeling.

Interesting concept. I've never thought of it this way before.
I usually think of walls and hearts of stone (obsidian, to be exact) and ice.
Wonderful piece. I love the 'glow' effects you use in many of your pieces, including this one.

It's nice that they ave her heart back to her though. A lot just take it and run away, or throw it in the garbage. At least that someone cared about her enough to hand it back and say, "No." That shows true love, doesn't it?

Like i said for the previous draw, it's creepy cute. And it's absolutely awesome. The draw is good for sure, but moreover the way you put in image this emotion ... I think i get what she's going through, and you made a really interesting way of turn it in image.
I kinda have a hard time to tell how i feel about yours draw, mostly 'cause english not my language so i miss a few words, but I really like what you're doing. It's beautiful and touching.

Beautiful, and forgive me for being biased and seeing what i want to see; plus my Catholic upbringing. But as a thumbnail, I thought this was a new and innovative depiction of the Virgin Mary..but the "sewing" concept is still an amazing art..and the colors are spectacular.
