I hope that you are trustworthy, I suppose I'll just have to trust you to find out... So here's my key. Open me up, Look inside, I just have to hope you will like what you find.If not, please put everything back where you found it.
Well, heh, they usually just make a mess and leave.... but, maybe this time...
Sophie's story. Her trust; like a little bud as it blooms, opening her petals, through the fragility and vulnerability, inviting someone to enjoy her colours.
Painted in Autodesk's Sketchbook Pro 7. Which was really fun to work with! Done for their challenge, of which I was the judge

This picture (and your description) is stirring up all sorts of hurt feelings.
because of my upbringing, childhood, I never trusted anyone, never let them in close enough to hurt me.
Then someone came along, and I found that we were so much alike. he'd be hurt the same ways as me, and we chose to trust each other.
I have never been as happy as I was for those two-three years.
But something happened, and suddenly everything changed. He withdrew back into himself, and hid away his heart and his feelings. I could feel myself losing him bit by bit, and he ended up breaking every promise, every last one. Eventually breaking up/leaving me online because he couldn't bear to talk to me face to face (it's a semi-long distance thing, it's complicated)
I feel extremely betrayed and all the feelings of worthlessness and hurt and distrust and need flood me every day. I know he's a trustworthy person, and I can understand how his actions come from a place of pain and fear that he couldn't bear anymore.
But once again I'm left behind and things are as bad as ever.
And yet somehow I still can't stop crying when I think about how I can't hug him, and I can't make myself stop loving him no matter how much I try.
I don't understand how a person as good and kind, as familiar with being hurt and trust betrayed, can do something like this to me, after everything.
on a different note I find the art beautiful as always, and I hope my depressing comment hasn't brought you down.
