If it's war you want, it's war you'll get. I've played nice, but now I stand my ground. Don't underestimate me, I'll show you just how deadly my sting can be.Inspired by a girl I saw putting on makeup on a train, it was a pretty bumpy ride, but she knew exactly what she was doing, eyeliner in one flick, lipstick gliding in a perfect circle, I swear she also stopped just before a really bumpy bit, like she knew. Honestly I thought even if it did go wrong, like she got lipstick on her cheek, she would just roll with it and turn it into warpaint. She had that kind of determination, it already looked like she was applying warpaint!
Trying to get better at painting soft and lose without being too blurry... hmm.. the girl is called Ash, she happens in some drawings from me. Generally when in need of some kick-ass attitude

This picture popped into my head lately and I just had to let you know.
I'd been having a period of feeling down and I'd started to pay no attention to my appearance. I figured why bother?
I tried to pull myself out of it - starting with my appearance. I figured if I looked like I felt good then maybe I would!
I tried straightening my hair and buying shape wear to boost my confidence... but it wasn't until I found a shade of lipstick that I'd been looking for for years that I felt better. I put it on and I felt like a different person. It sounds stupid but that lipstick became my war paint and I was able to stand tall and fight through my day. I instantly thought of this image and have been meaning to tell you since! I've warn my warpaint all week and I've felt stronger for it xxxxxxxx

That's probably because she did. She may be on that train daily, on her way to work or school, for example and knows every station. Thus, she does her make-up on-board not wasting any time at home! And yes, that would be warpaint since every-day life is a fight (or at least a massive struggle) for most of us!
And I like how the colour is NOT put on the lips but used under the eyes like some amazone of a native folk would do. The lipstick is used against the Western definition of "the weapons of a woman" - which is beauty stuff! Although in reality she is too much of a girly, she does not look like she wants to be nice and conform and pleasing - but quite the opposite .
