So am I! I've been a big fan for years and loved AVP! The next looks even better! The first time I saw Alien I didn't sleep for a week and Predator was my all time fav action movie. So I'll be in heaven!

I think it's too easy to believe that there could be something like the Aliens floating around in space. We see examples in nature of things, especially in the oceans and insect world, not too dissimilar from the Aliens. And the idea of some parasitic thing, clamping down on your face and violating you by placing some homunculus embryo in your chest.... BLARG! *SHIVERS*
And the Predators just kick ass! Have you ever played Concrete Jungle on PS2 or X-Box? Explains a lot of their behavior and hunting rituals. It's interesting to see that they actually have a structure and don't just kill anything that gets too close.

I dunno... I think it was a pretty average film for the first hour or so - certainly not up to the quality of the rest of the Alien films, but it redeemed itself in the last hour or so, as far as I was concerned. It's really grown on me the more I've watched it, actually. I had a big argument about the subtext with my boyfriend the other day. He says the predator considers the woman a pet, like a hunting dog or something. I disagreed. Lots.

exactly, the more you watch it the more you like it. I think i have watched it about a billion times XD I am sorry but i think Preds are hot... lol I think the Predator in the movie saw her as a worthy warrior... like in Predator two when the cop guy gets that gun from the elder...
