Description
I recently tried out comparing cheap colored pencils to expensive ones. I mean both have their good qualities and their iffy qualities. The brand I used for both were:
- CraZArt (for the cheap colored pencils; I have a couple other brands too)
- Prismacolor (for the expensive colored pencils; comment below if there are other types)
This is obviously a review and I am also trying these side by side to see what mediums could be right for me. We’re not there in terms of finding out just yet but the importance of this is having fun and discovering new things.
Review on Cheap Colored Pencils:
The great part about these apart from that they’re cheap is that they have a wider selection of colors than Prismacolor or any expensive brand does. I can make more color choices this way.
Another great part of is the excellent color quality too.
The vibrancy and blending though is okay compared to Prismacolor
Review on Prismacolor:
The best part about these is the excellent vibrancy, color, and blending qualities. It’s exactly what an artist would need to help make the project look smooth and well burnished.
The iffy part about this though for my case anyway is how expensive it is and the sets I have are just the standard 12 pack which means I don’t have a lot of color choices from that. But apart from that these are great pencils.
What do you guys think it’s better?
And do you think I could combine both mediums together? Comment below and watch my page if you’d like to see me trying both medium out at the same time in a separate video.
