Description
2010’s winter arrived slowly as if it had no intentions at all to change the life around Lexus Stables. The cold weather caused many problems during the winter season. The damages that needed never-ending preparations, riders calling in sick after catching a cold. And of course, some of the horses, who almost instantly fell as soon as the temperatures dropped. After all, not all animals enjoyed the cold weather. But this year, no heavy snowfall, only clouds hiding the blue sky from sigh
Although the nature fell asleep until the spring comes, riders and horses are still preparing for the show season of 2010. The owner of Lexus Stables, Margaret, had a special talent for scheduling everything perfectly. Not only did she made sure everything worked smoothly, but she was also kind to any kind of living being. No wonder, if someone needed some advice or comfort, she was there for them. That is why she needed to stop for a moment to be able to hear the conversation of two younger riders, who were discussing over a particular roan stallion.
"Yeah, like a devil. I told you many time, that horse is crazy." One of them continued, while the other was nodding.
"I saw how he responded today for any kind of movement. Like he wasn't sure who is his master. I am sure he would attack Iz if she had been too close. And not for a mere moment, but every time she tried to calm him down. I tell you, I would never even get close to a horse like Boreas. Nooo way." She finished, receiving an understanding nod from her friend. At that moment, Margaret decided not to intervene and ask them about their little talk. She heard enough.
Margaret decided to change her plans for that day. It was a rare occasion, she usually was really strict about her own plans. But this time, she found the situation grace enough to broke this rule. Her next destination was the small indoor arena, searching for one of Isabel's friends and trusted trainer, Sean Reid. By the time she got there, the man was on his phone, showing a quite unamused expression on his face.
"Okay, that's your decision. But everything's okay, right? I thought I saw you leaving for lunging today." he started, waving to Margaret to wait a minute.
"If you need help, then you know where to find me. Okay. You too. Bye." he added, putting his phone in his pocket, shaking his head while doing so.
"Lazy students huh?" Margaret walked to him, but her smile faded when Sean shook his head slightly.
"Nah, it was Iz. She just said that she doesn't want a class today. Turns out she doesn't feel right and wants a relax day for Boreas?" he added, but he sounded not so convinced by this.
"You think something's happened?"
"She never skipped class before. But lately… I think something is not quite alright with her or with Boreas. I offered my help to her or to call the vet if Boreas needs them. But she is not a kid, she understands things well. That's why I am quite confused about her call." he sighed.
"I am sorry about thinking loud. What can I do for you, Margaret?" he asked, smiling slightly at the woman now, who did not change her expression.
"Well… I came here because of Isabel too. Or would be more correct if I'd say Boreas." She explained shortly, making Sean lift an eyebrow. "I heard some younger students talking about Boreas a few minutes ago. They said he was attacking and such. Called him devil. So I decided to come to you and ask if you know something about it or if you've noticed anything off about Boreas." She added, earning a sigh this time. Sean's face changed a bit again, stiffening his face for a moment.
"Boreas was never an easy task, you know that. I know that too, Iz as well. But he worked very well until the last few weeks, month, or so. Iz asked the vet to check on him, I called the farrier too, but no one notice a thing wrong. I assume some kind of hormonal change in the background, but I have to admit I don't think I can figure it out alone. But I know Iz tries her best." he explained
"And what if neither she can resolve it nor you?"
The question had a point. Isabel was a stubborn, can-do-it kid since her first moment and there was no way she would accept any kind of stranger's help. And Boreas was a big problem too. The poor horse did not have the best life when he was only a colt, and only Iz gave him the love he ever longer for… And right now, the stallion was turning against this person. No logic in this… So the answer Margaret was looking for, never existed.
"I don't know… I really don't know. But maybe… I can talk to Iz and see if she can accept help." he added, not sure if he could convince himself with this weak answer.
"Okay. But be quick. I don't want anyone to get hurt." Margaret loved the kids and horses equally, and she was damn serious if it was about their well-being…

So... In case you don't know... I started to rewrite my stories, trying to establish a full storyline, with details and such, as I noticed how irregular were my stories, with plot-holes and rushed relationships/actions
We start in 2010 this time! On the image, you can see the owner of Lexus Stables, Margaret Zecter and a younger Sean (who hasn't changed much, just doesn't have grey hair lol)
Hope you'll enjoy the stories <333
