So I'm so proud of how I managed to complete this piece and here's the timelapse!!
Here's my process during this drawing!! So ok first of all I planned to make two figures of December blending into eachother with some trippy looking smears and lighting, buttttt.... I didn't like the second drawing I made of her and completely scrapped the idea. Don't worry though! I'll probably bring back this concept some other time it just didn't work here. From then on I begin rendering out the remaining December sketch. Only problem now is I didn't have an idea of where to go from here after scrapping the previous idea so the next random items that pop up are my attempts to add something interesting to this piece. I finally landed on silly bugs, specifically the comet moth and a beetle! Then I add some sparkly stuff and two light sources: one from the yellow side of the background and the other from the green. After that I felt there was still something missing so I asked my discord friends and they told me that I could add some more contrast between the figure and the background. So I made the background a bit darker and added more light on December. I rendered the moth a bit more and then I was done!! Thanks for reading my process!!
